(Note the new time; it is time-certain and estimated to run 3 hours).
Public Hearing on the Appeal of the County Planning Commission's Approval of the Santa Maria Energy Project
Board of Supervisors Hearing Room,  511 E. Lakeside Parkway, Santa Maria.
Remote testimony from Santa Barbara Board of Supervisors Hearing Room, 105 E. Anapamu St.

The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors is holding a public hearing on the Appeal of the Planning Commission's decision to approve the Santa Maria Energy Oil Drilling and Production project and the project EIR. The oil company proposes to drill 136 oil and gas wells just south of Orcutt using a cyclic-steaming process, construction of a 3-mile crude oil pipeline and construction of an 8-mile recycled water pipeline.

SB CAN urges you to attend and speak in support of requiring that the greenhouse gas emissions be largely, if not fully, offset.

Much has been written and said about this project over the last several months. We’ve been working hard on this for months and need your support at the hearing. You might want to read our editorials on mitigating the greenhouse gas emissions from this project.
