Here's an update on SBCAN October Roundtable Meetings:

North County Roundtable
Thursday, October 10, 2019, 6 PM to 7:30 PM
Giavanni’s Pizzeria, 1108 East Clark, south side of Bradley, Orcutt

 AGENDA

  1. Call to Order: Introductions; agenda review (5 min.)
  2. Renewable Energy: Strauss Wind Energy Project. Here is the link to the information on the County’s website: http://www.countyofsb.org/plndev/projects/energy/Strauss.sbc  (20 min.)
  3. OASIS Senior Center. Draft EIR is available at: http://www.countyofsb.org/plndev/projects/oasiscenter.sbc  There are several Class 1 impacts. The SBCAN Board is currently neutral on the project, but may consider a position at its November meeting.  (20 min.)
  4. Status of Onshore Oil Projects: ERG, Aera and PetroRock in Cat Canyon, and BLM Lease Proposal. (5 min.)
  5. The Neighborhoods of Willow Creek and Hidden Valley. Proposed development at Rancho Maria Golf Course; DSEIR is complete and comment period is closed. (5 min.)
  6. Brief updates from participants. (2 to 5 min. each)
  7. Open discussion about other items of interest. All (10 min.)
  8. Next meeting. Our next meeting is scheduled for November 14, 2019 at Giavanni’s.

  2. Downtown Santa Barbara. Our featured guest this month is Carrie Kelly, the Executive Director of the Downtown Santa Barbara Organization. Carrie will discuss the future of downtown Santa Barbara, new retail development, especially on State Street, and related matters. (60 min.)
  3. Strauss Wind Energy Project. (5 to 10 min.)
  4. Brief updates from participants. (2 to 5 min. each)
  5. Open discussion about other items of interest. All (5 min.)
