For several years, SCBAN has been fighting against three proposals to expand dangerous cyclic-steaming oil expansion in Cat Canyon, southeast of Santa Maria. Terracore is the third and final one to withdraw its application.
SBCAN and the Los Padres Chapter of Sierra Club have been represented in this fight by Environmental Defense Center and a host of other organizations have been part of the battle. Many of them have quotes in this joint press release.
