SB CAN’s North County Vice President, Jerry Connor, has previewed a really good geology program about the geological history and present state of the Central Coast geology from the mountain tops above to the depths below presented in animated PowerPoint with live narration by a skilled geologist who will answer your questions.  

Jerry invites SB CAN folks to come to see this presentation at the next meeting of the Arguello Group, Sierra Club Los Padres Chapter. Jerry authored this op/ed that ran in both the Santa Maria Times and the Lompoc Record; it explains why the subject of our local geology is so relevant to current issues such as Measure P. 

Details follow:

1. Date, Place, and Time:  Friday, August 15, 2014; Lompoc Presbyterian Church, 1600 E. Berkeley, in the West Meeting Room, starting at 7:15 p.m. and finishing by 9:00 p.m.
2. Refreshments will be offered right at 7:15. So, if you just finished supper, have your dessert with friends before the program presentation.
3. Announcements will be minimal, so we can get right into this fascinating program.
