Santa Barbara County Action Network will hold its annual North County “Looking Forward” Awards Dinner & Fundraiser on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel, 3455 Skyway Drive, Santa Maria.
Every year we recognize individuals, businesses or organizations that work to protect our environment and the rights of our county’s residents. These awards help encourage this good work to continue and to raise the funds we need to keep doing our part.

The awards are given for:
- Environmental - For conserving or enhancing natural resources, or for promoting environmental justice.
- Giving Back - For giving back selflessly to the community through volunteer activities and community projects.
- Social Justice - For promoting fairness, tolerance, equality, respect, and compassion for all people in our community.
- Working Families - For helping working families in any number of ways, such as with health care, housing, education, workers’ rights, or recreational or cultural services.
- "Looking Forward" - For strong leadership and vision in community building, civic engagement, and improving the quality of life in our community.
- Youth Activist - For youth (generally up to age 24) who demonstrate exceptional leadership, civic engagement, social justice, or environmental protection in our community.
