Tell SB City to Invest in Affordable Housing

The City of Santa Barbara has a historic opportunity next week to allocate their $14 million budget surplus

SBCAN supports the Finance Committee's recommendation that at least $3.6 million of that surplus be allocated to the newly established Affordable Housing Trust Fund, so that the City can have a dedicated source of funding to build 100% affordable, deed-restricted housing.

Let the City council know that you support the council using as much of the budget surplus as possible towards the Affordable Housing Trust Fund. You can attend the meeting virtually (link to register here) or in person on December 6th starting at 2pm, or you can email the council with a written comment (email [email protected]). Email [email protected] if you want to be notified when the item is coming up. This is item #20 on the agenda (link to the agenda here).
