Happy new year from SBCAN! Our first roundtables of 2023 will be held this week. We hope you will join us for one or both. Zoom information for both meetings are below.  
 
On Thursday, January 12th we will discuss Santa Maria's proposal to annex and develop a parcel near Union Valley Parkway, the Phillips 66 refinery shut down, and other updates. 
On Friday, January 13th, Supervisor Laura Capps will join us for a discussion about her priorities for the second district, and will answer questions from our members.

  1. Call to Order Introductions; Agenda Review
  2. Santa Maria's Annexation proposal - 44 acres near Union Valley Parkway will be developed for housing and commercial development. 
  3. Phillips 66 Refinery Shut Down - unceremoniously last Friday, the Phillips 66 oil refinery shut down. We will discuss the ramifications of this and what happens next. 
  4. Other updates about Bailey Avenue, the Santa Maria General Plan Update, and the Santa Maria River Estuary Healthy Watershed Initiative. 
  5. Updates from participants. Please let us know if there are items you want to bring up. (2 to 5 min. each)
