SBCAN Celebrates 20 years in January 2022

Wow, what a year! The community came out of our Covid isolation only to learn that we are still not out of the woods. However, we’ve found ways to keep making progress on the changes that need to be made. And you’ve been with us every step of the way! Thank you for your support.

Now, we’re proud to announce Santa Barbara County Action Network is turning 20!

January 2022 will mark our 20thanniversary, and we want to celebrate with you! We’re planning something special for Spring 2022, but we’ll have to see what’s going on with the Coronavirus before we’ll determine just how to celebrate.

In the meantime, we’re asking you to renew your commitment to SBCAN by paying your membership dues that are due in January. If you pay by the end of this month, you can deduct them as a charitable contribution this year.

We appreciate the support—both financial and participatory—you have shown us over the years that has made it possible for us to continue nurturing our strong network of progressive folks, creating bridges between environmental and social justice activism, and making progress on numerous issues.

For 20 years SBCAN has been the preeminent nonprofit organization working on both sustainability and social justice issues throughout the county. We have many partner organizations, but we always strive to be countywide and working on a wide range of progressive issues—especially looking for issues that might fall through the cracks otherwise. Please read our December newsletter to see many of our actions over the years and recently.

With increasing competition for foundation support, we are all the more reliant on our members, major donors, and fundraisers. Therefore, we hope that you will make a membership donation that suits your budget and helps SBCANcontinue its educational and advocacy roles.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,
