THE BILL HEADS BACK TO THE HOUSE TODAY—YOUR VOICE STILL MATTERS

Late last night, the Senate voted to eliminate $1.1 billion in public media funding, threatening the programs, stories, and services that connect us. These are funds that had already been approved for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for the next two years.

But this fight isn’t over yet.

Because the Senate made amendments, the bill heads back to the House for a final vote as soon as today. We now have just a few hours to urge House Members to reject the amended rescissions bill, where a vote is expected this evening.

If the bill passes, that will pull support from the shows that teach our kids, inspire our curiosity, and reflect our communities. That means we have one more chance to stop these cuts. Contact your Representatives immediately for one last push to oppose the rescissions bill.

  • If your representative did not support public media last time, now’s the moment to ask them to change their vote.
  • If they did, thank them and encourage them to hold the line.

Let’s make sure every member of Congress hears loud and clear: Public media matters.

Your voice can make a real difference right now. Thanks for standing with us.
