Santa Maria River Guardians
Guardianes del río Santa María
SBCAN is convening the Santa Maria River Guardians to build a resident-led network of community members in Guadalupe and Santa Maria who share an interest in the future of the Santa Maria River. The group brings together residents who live near the river or are connected through interests such as flood resilience, open space, trails, beach access, and environmental stewardship.
Through grassroots organizing and community engagement, SBCAN is creating a space for residents to identify shared priorities and build a stronger community voice around the future of the river and surrounding communities.
