La Meta Radio Show is a bilingual music and culture radio show exploring protest and
resistance music, social movements, and community history. Rooted in traditions of resistance,
cultural expression, and collective transformation, the show connects music with
conversations about environmental justice, housing, immigrant rights, queer identity, labor,
and progressive organizing.

Vision

La Meta Radio Show aims to create an engaging and culturally grounded show that combines music,
storytelling, and political education in an accessible format. By centering local voices and a
history of resistance, the show will strengthen community connection, highlight ongoing
organizing efforts, and build broader public engagement around progressive issues affecting the
Central Coast and California.

Format

Each episode is an hour-long and structured as a blend of:

● Protest music across genres and generations throughout the episode.
● Including Interviews with organizers, scholars, artists, and community leaders.
● Episodes will generally follow a 50/50 structure between music and conversation.
● Themes may focus on a single topic or continue across a month-long series.
● Multilingual programming, alternating primarily between English and Spanish
