INDIVISIBLE ACTION
One Million Rising:
Strategic Non-Cooperation to Fight Authoritarianism
Across the country, authoritarian forces are getting bolder and more dangerous. Trump and his allies are not hiding their agenda: mass deportations, rollbacks of civil rights, weaponized courts, and full-scale attacks on our democracy. We don’t have to wait until it’s too late. We can stop this. But it’ll take all of us—not just on single days of mass action, but through sustained organizing in our communities.
That’s why this summer, we’re launching One Million Rising—a national effort to train one million people in the strategic logic and practice of non-cooperation, as well as the basics of community organizing and campaign design. This is how we build people power that can’t be ignored. You’re invited to join us—and lead.
Let’s build a force bigger than fear and louder than hate. Let’s get ready. Let’s get organized. Let’s stop Trump.
Session 2: How to Make it Happen - July 30 This train-the-trainer session is how we get to one million. Learn not just our strategy, but how you can train others and get them on board. You'll host your first community resistance gathering after this session.
Session 3: What Now? - August 13 You'll be onboarded to basic campaign design and learn how to implement it locally as well as get plugged into our next national campaign work. Your second community resistance gathering will move this action forward.
Sign up for all 3 sessions to get the most out of this experience. Watch it live with a friend in person, and get ready now to host your own community resistance gatherings after the second and third sessions. This is how we get to 1 million!
| FRIDAY, AUGUST 1 |

FROM LA CULTURA DEL MUNDO:
Friday, August 1
Noon - 9 p.m.
Santa Maria City Hall
110 E. Cook St.
Santa Maria
Protesting on August 1st, the community unites to show all of America that "America's" people are marching in solidarity with the immigrants that truly keep the United States working. The goal of this protest is to demonstrate support for immigrants who are being tormented by our current administration. Our march will show the administration and the people of America that immigrants are heroes in our communities and not villains like the media makes them out to be. Our culture is deeply rooted in America's history, and we are not leaving or going to be thrown out. Our country must come together to show all targeted minorities that they are not alone.
Currently we have at least 12 states across the United States that will be protesting alongside us on August 1st. We are dedicated to getting all 50 states to come together in support of immigrants/ the indigenous communities across the United States.

People Power is Indivisible’s grassroots army.
We need volunteers and supporters from every corner of Santa Maria to defend civil liberties and civil rights.
Join us in solidarity for Heroes Not Villains Protest on Friday, August 1st!
We will need the following volunteers for this event:
Set up. This is about getting our greeter table, etc., set up and get supplies organized. You’ll need to arrive 45 minutes ahead of the event.
Safety/First Aid. This is helping make sure everybody’s doing ok, alerting the organizers if you see anybody that needs help. If you’re trained in first aid, we need your help in this area. Also, for this category, we’ll supply bottled water and need you to distribute it through the crowd to help keep their voices strong. Bring an easy to carry bag to distribute the water.
Monitors. It’s important that everybody stays on the sidewalk. Monitors help remind attendees. Also, help with keeping things non-confrontational. This a peaceful, non-violent protest. You’ll need to arrive 1 hour ahead of the event.
Clean up. We want to leave the area better than we found it and we need your help to do that. Grab a trash bag and pick up the trash, whether ours or not. This will mean staying 15-30 minutes after the event.
As you can see, there’s plenty of ways to help. Let me know by responding to this email if you’re available, and how you’d like to pitch in.
Thank you so much for your support!
