The educational Cafecito will be Saturday, August 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Shepard Hall in the Santa Maria Public Library, 421 S. McClelland St, Santa Maria.

The event is open to all, free of charge, and suitable for families. Food and refreshments will be available.

CEC will facilitate the presentation in both Spanish and English, with Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP) offering Mixteco interpretation.

Santa Barbara County Action Network and CEC have been working together and interacting with the City of Santa Maria for the past couple of years to give input on planning principles that will lead to a more vibrant, equitable and resilient city in the future.

Greater community participation is needed to make sure the needs of the community are heard. We hope you will make this meeting and add your voice to the process.

If anyone is interested in hosting a table at the event, contact CEC's Climate Policy Associate Farah Stack: [email protected], (805) 730-0878 office, or (310) 924-0189 cell.

Shepard Hall will provide tables and chairs. This is an opportunity to showcase the community work you're involved in.
