Santa Barbara County's Citizens Independent Redistricting Commission will have a hearing tonight, Aug. 4 at 6 p.m.
This is an important issue that SBCAN is tracking and may weigh in on in the future.
The commission is looking for input from community members and residents, especially from the Fifth District, on important communities of interest and neighborhoods that should be respected when drawing the county's new supervisorial districts.
The meeting includes: Redistricting overview, public input on communities of interest and the composition of districts. Mapping tools training. Business meeting.
