SBCAN Roundtables: North is Thursday, South is Friday

We will meet Thursday evening, November 15 at 6 PM at Giavanni's Pizza, 1108 E. Clark Ave. in Orcutt. That is at Bradley and Clark behind the gas station and close to Albertsons. 
 
The agenda, which is below, includes discussion of election results and implications for SBCAN, and priorities for 2019. Cat Canyon oil projects will be discussed. Please let me know if you have items you want on the agenda.

  7. Next meeting. Our next meeting is scheduled for December. 
Here is our draft agenda for this Friday's meeting. We will continue our discussion of Santa Barbara housing issues, hopefully with Councilmember Oscar Gutierrez. He has another meeting at 1 PM, so we will have that topic first. Marc Chytilo will join us to discuss several Gaviota Coast issues. And, of course, we will discuss election results and implications for SBCAN.

  2. Discussion of Current Housing Issues in Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara City Councilmember Oscar Gutierrez is invited and likely will be able to attend the first part of the meeting. (40 min.)
  3. Gaviota Coastal Trail Alliance. Mark Chytilo will discuss the Alliance’s efforts to open Hollister Ranch up for public access.  He will also report on other Gaviota Coast developments, including the status of the Naples Coalition, progress in open space preservation, recreational facility planning, agricultural projects promoting carbon sequestration, and environmental justice matters. (25 min.)
  4. Discussion of Election Results and Implications for SBCAN. (10 min.)
  5. Brief updates from participants. (2 to 5 min. each)
