INDIVISIBLE ACTION
One Million Rising:
Strategic Non-Cooperation to Fight Authoritarianism
FROM INDIVISIBLE TEAM:
|
[On July 30] nearly 40,000 people attended our latest One Million Rising session, bringing us closer to training a million in strategic non-cooperation! Didn't make our session on Community Resistance Gatherings? You can watch the replay right here. Ready to take the next step? We have two requests! First, RSVP for our upcoming One Million Rising Session 3 call on August 13. Second, host a Community Resistance Gathering. It's an easy, fun, and low-pressure way to share the power of strategic non-cooperation and help us build crucial resistance. So, what's a Community Resistance Gathering? It's where a small group of folks from a shared community (like neighbors, colleagues, or fellow church members) learns about strategic non-cooperation. You'll share how we can chip away at authoritarian power by identifying its pillars of support and activating our communities! It’s not more complicated than that – and we’ll give you an entire toolkit to help you along the way. |

Social Security Rally
Hosted by Indivisible Santa Ynez Valley
Social Security isn't just a policy - it's a promise made 90 years ago to create financial security for working people. Now, on the 90th anniversary of the Social Security Act, that promise is under attack.
The threats are real: Republicans in Congress are pushing an agenda that guts programs working families rely on, all to pay for tax breaks for billionaires.
Over 73 million Americans who rely on Social Security - retirees, people with disabilities, and working families - are being put at risk.
We refuse to stay silent. While billionaires get handouts, working people who've paid into the system their entire lives face benefit cuts and inaccessible services.
Reports suggest the trust fund could run dry by 2034, leading to 15-20% benefit reductions, not because the system is broken, but because corporations and the ultra-wealthy aren't paying their fair share. Social Security is a hard-earned lifeline, not a handout. It helps pay rent, buy groceries, and put kids through school. It's a right that millions have earned through decades of work.
Join us as communities nationwide demand Congress protect what we've worked for - protect our checks, protect our future. When FDR signed Social Security in 1935, he called it "a cornerstone in a structure being built." We're here to defend that cornerstone.
The time to act is now. We won't back down.
